Food Security Programs

Breakfast Program

Thanks to funding from the Huu-Ay-Aht First Nations, we provide students with breakfast every morning! Our wonderful breakfast caterer, Sonam, provides students with exciting morning meals that make kids excited for the most important meal of the day!

Lunch Program

We are pleased to offer free lunches every school day for our students! The SD70 school district generously provides us with the funds to create healthy, delicious lunches that fuel our students throughout the day!

Our wonderful Chef Charlene is always cooking up new ideas and working on encouraging even the pickiest of eaters to try new things.

School’s Out After-School Program Snack

United Way BC allows us to run a free after-school program 4 days a week (two days for grades 1-3 and two days for grades 4-7). At the after-school programs, Taylor provides students with fun snacks, often getting the students to take part in making their own food as a fun activity!

Special events

We host various special events, such as community lunches, that offer free meals to the community! Thank you to Decoda and all of our other funders for providing us with money that can go towards these events and increase food security in our community.

Community Food Pantry

We are in the process of creating a community food pantry where folks can donate and receive unopened non-perishable food items. This pantry will be located inside the school and will be available during any of our school events/library hours, and by appointment. Everyone deserves to eat healthy, safe, delicious food.
